Urban agriculture can provide food for our cities and conserving our natural environment. This book focuses on the soil and water conservation, waste recycling, climate change mitigation, habitat, and food production is only beginning to be recognized.
The Water Environment and Reuse Foundation's Biosolids Program provides its subscribers with research opportunities and findings on a variety of biosolids topics. The program also develops user friendly pathogen risk assessment and risk communications methodologies to support science based decision making at the local, state and national level.
This initiative lead by Lisa McFadden and operated by the Water Environment Federation is a partnership promoting environmentally sound biosolids management practices. It offers education, training, technical assistance, a database of information, and a third party certification program for biosolids management systems.
Dr. Sally Brown contributes monthly summaries of research topics pertinent to biosolids and sustainable wastewater management.
